Want to create a "template" stream and looking for implementation tips.

So basically I want to be able to create a stream that holds template data. Wondering the best way to do this.

Edit: I feel I should elaborate a bit, basically I'm thinking the two streams will be identical in fields, then if you want to use a template it copyies that entry into the entries stream
