PyroCMS is a modular, theme-able, lightweight CMS built with the popular PHP framework CodeIgniter. It is designed to be simple enough for any developer to create modules and for any end user to understand how it works.

We focus on simplicity and will avoid adding in “buzz” power features into a default installation that could confuse users. PyroCMS will make more sense to your clients than WordPress, giving you more time to work on new sites instead of supporting old ones.

Due to CodeIgniter’s simplicity and ease of use PyroCMS can be extended far easier than many other CMSs by installing custom Modules. As well as Modules we have Plugins and Widgets all of which can be downloaded from the growing Add-on Store to save you time with development. If something is not already in the store you can build it yourself and sell it to others when it’s complete.
